Alpine Chai Espresso-Style Tonic - Alpine Apothecary

A sparkling, alcohol-free drink made with a strong Alpine Chai concentrate in place of espresso.

Important: This recipe was created specifically for Alpine Apothecary Alpine Chai Herbal Tea. Do not substitute another tea blend. Most alternatives contain black tea and a different balance of spices, which will alter the flavour, texture and caffeine content.

Makes: 2  |  Preparation: 10 minutes, plus cooling

Ingredients

Method

  1. Simmer the Alpine Apothecary Alpine Chai Herbal Tea in the water for 8 minutes to make a strong concentrate.
  2. Strain, sweeten if desired and chill completely.
  3. Fill two glasses with ice and divide the tonic water between them.
  4. Slowly pour the chilled Alpine Chai concentrate over the tonic and garnish with orange peel.
