A bright, creamy iced drink that brings out the sweet orange already present in Alpine Chai.
Important: This recipe was created specifically for Alpine Apothecary Alpine Chai Herbal Tea. Do not substitute another tea blend. Most alternatives contain black tea and a different balance of spices, which will alter the flavour, texture and caffeine content.
Makes: 2 | Preparation: 10 minutes, plus cooling
Ingredients
- 4 teaspoons Alpine Apothecary Alpine Chai Herbal Tea
- 250 ml water
- 300 ml milk of choice
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
- Ice cubes
- Orange slices, to serve
Method
- Place the Alpine Apothecary Alpine Chai Herbal Tea, water and orange zest in a small saucepan. Simmer gently for 6 minutes.
- Strain, stir in the maple syrup or honey and allow the concentrate to cool completely.
- Fill two glasses with ice. Divide the Alpine Chai concentrate between the glasses, add the milk and stir.
- Serve with an orange slice.
