Deep ruby, naturally tart and beautifully vibrant, our organic hibiscus flower is a bold loose herb for tea, kitchen creations, herbal infusions and apothecary-style use.
Hibiscus makes a stunning crimson-red tea with a bright, tangy flavour often compared to cranberry. It can be enjoyed hot or iced, blended with other herbs, added to syrups, jellies, cordials and botanical drinks, or infused into oils and bath preparations for its rich natural colour.
This hibiscus is organically grown and sourced from Egypt.

Suggested uses
Tea
Steep as a loose herbal tea for a naturally tart, ruby-red infusion. Beautiful on its own or blended with peppermint, rosehip, ginger, lemon balm or orange peel.
Food + drinks
Use in homemade syrups, jellies, cordials, iced teas, mocktails, botanical sugars and desserts where a deep red colour and tangy flavour are wanted.
Infusions
Create strong hibiscus infusions for use in botanical drinks, herbal blends, bath soaks or creative apothecary-style preparations.
Skincare
Can be infused into oil or used as part of a botanical preparation where colour and plant-based character are desired. Best strained well before use.
Bath
Add to bath soak blends for a naturally rich botanical colour. Use with care as hibiscus may stain light surfaces, cloth or porous materials.
Steam
Not recommended for steam use, as hibiscus is quite colourful and acidic compared with herbs traditionally used for facial or aromatic steaming.
How to make hibiscus tea
Use 1 teaspoon per cup. Pour over freshly boiled water and steep for 5–10 minutes, depending on how strong you like it. Strain before drinking.
For iced tea, make a stronger brew, allow it to cool, then serve over ice with honey, lemon, orange or mint.
