A reusable muslin bag keeps the fine flowers and oats contained while they steep in warm bath water.

Makes: 1 bath

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons dried Alpine Mullein Flowers
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup Epsom salts
  • 1 small muslin bag or a square of clean cotton cloth

Method

  1. Place the mullein flowers and oats inside the muslin bag and tie securely.
  2. Add the Epsom salts directly to a comfortably warm bath and stir to dissolve.
  3. Place the filled sachet beneath the running water, then allow it to float and steep in the bath.
  4. Gently squeeze the sachet a few times without opening it.
  5. After use, empty and wash the bag. Compost the plant material if suitable.

Safety

For external use only. Patch test first if you have sensitive skin or plant allergies. Do not use on broken or irritated skin. Stop if irritation occurs and take care because the bath may become slippery.
